Flashback Friday: Live in Rio de Janiero

For this week’s edition of Flashback Friday, we’re looking back at No Doubt’s incredible live set from Rio Janiero back on November 2, 1997. The concert was recorded and a portion was televised for Brazilian fans on Multishow TV. No Doubt wrapped up their Tragic Kingdom world tour only a few shows after this in November 1997.

  1. Yes!!! Luv u Jenny 😉

Actually Metropolitana is a radio station, Multishow is a channel on cable TV. And a few more songs from the original set list were broadcasted back on the original airing. Oi to the World was played on that show and it aired on TV they mislabeled the song as OIL to the World.

(Finally one I can actually talk about!)

  2. Just a fun fact… In Sao Paulo, No Doubt played the stage and David Bowie was the follow up act. Kinda cool huh?

  3. Ive been a non commenter for years (great site btw). This show was such a blast from the past! It was about 4 months after I first saw them that july in Albany, ny. It was funny bc Bush came the week before and I remember seeing gavin outside his tour bus and I asked where Gwen was haha.

  4. Lol, Cynthia! My sister was 17 years old when that show happened. She taught me to be a fan making me listen to TK everyday. It’s never old enough to be a ND fan.
