Well… this is interesting, and a little confusing. So we’ve been thinking and have been lead to believe that electronic group Major Lazer were appearing on No Doubt’s upcoming album, but a new interview reveals, that No Doubt are actually appearing on Major Lazer’s upcoming album instead. Not going to lie, it’s a little disappointing, but we are still really, really excited to hear the collaboration. And the article also says that Major Lazer are dropping their first single in October from the album, and the album drops in March (the same time we are predicting No Doubt’s), so we might hear something new from the band earlier than we think, so that’s good news! Thank you whoopiedoo for sending in the link to us — it’s pretty big news!

ABC — Major Lazer’s new album will feat. No Doubt, Vampire Weekend, Dirty Projectors and more.

Diplo, who collaborates with Switch to make Major Lazer, opened up to triple j at Parklife about their upcoming album.

“We have a single coming out next month in October and then the album will come out in March and it’s the most amazing record of all time, ever.

We have Vampire Weekend feature on it, Dirty Projectors, Vybz Cartel, Beanie Man, Busy Signal, No Doubt… it’s crazy.

  1. I agree with Simon… But not necessarily in a negative way, but clearly something is happening different than ND planned…
