This is really awesome. Chicago’s legendary Metro Club is celebrating it’s 30th anniversary this year by looking back on some of the venue’s favorite and most memorable gigs from the past. No Doubt’s two sold out August 9th, 1996 shows makes the cut today – sixteen years (yikes!) later! I know we’ve posted the clip above before, but I’m sure none of you mind seeing it again!

Metro Chicago — Just a few months after No Doubt released acclaimed 90s album, Tragic Kingdom, the band played Metro for the third and final time. The date was August 9, 1996 and No Doubt was on the fast track to mainstream success, having already released three consecutive hit singles (“Just a Girl,” “Spiderwebs,” and “Don’t Speak). They played an almost unheard of 11:30am show followed by another sold out 7pm show, presented by the late great Q101.
