Rumor Patrol: "Icon" From No Doubt Being Released On October 5, 2010

So, we are convinced now that “Icon” will be just another greatest hits record with no new material, which is still cool I guess. Apparently Universal has released this compilation type album for tons of artists, pretty neat that No Doubt will have one now.

Woah, wait, what? Thanks so much to MadVibes from the NDC for pointing out, but Amazon is listing a release from No Doubt on October 5, 2010 titled “Icon”… what the heck? MadVibes mentioned that iTunes was promoting the release in an iConcert Calendar update and referred them to Amazon to pre-order the release, which you can do here. I’m thinking that maybe this a new “greatest hits” or something, cause there would be no way the new album would be released this soon… unless No Doubt has been pulling our leg this whole time… anyone know anything? This is bugging the crap out of me now!

  1. hmmmmmm. i wonder if nd has actually approved this, or whether it is just something that someone has thrown together for advertising.

  2. The price of the CD is too low to be an album, so I rather think it could be their first single of the new album. Most artists always bring out a single first and then a few months later they release the album.

    However, I’m curious.
