Repost: No Doubt’s Super Bowl Performances

Happy Super Bowl XLIX Sunday everyone! Even if you’re not a fan of football or the big game, we can all remember No Doubt’s memorable performance during the XXXVII half time show where they blew audiences away with “Just a Girl” and a once-in-a-lifetime duet with Sting covering The Police’s “Message in a Bottle” (which they performed together again last year at the Global Citizen Festival). Though No Doubt shared the stage that night with country superstar Shania Twain, No Doubt stole the show. Their performance is still one of the band’s top highlights of their career where they performed live on television during the most watched broadcast of the year for over 88 million viewers worldwide!

And not only that, No Doubt also performed at both Friday Night Super Bowl Bash and FOX’s Super Bowl Tailgate Party the year prior.

As a bonus, check out the band’s performance of “Settle Down”, which they kicked off the 2012 NFL season with in New York.

  1. I was so young when this aired! I was actually watching for shania at the time I never knew who ND or Gwen were so it was my first introduction to them. And I became a huge fan two years later 🙂

  2. Her SB outfit is one of my all time favorites. I still can’t believe that they played at the biggest sporting event in the world. It’s such an honor and a highlight of their career!

  3. This is one of my favorite moments of being die hard for ND. for those of you who are not American, at bare minimum 100million tune into for the super bowl (&thats not even counting worldwide). i would go ahead and say its just as american an a presidential inauguration. to play THE SUPER BOWL is an absolute honor, more that the grammys or any other event music can be performed. Just like LISA said above she was one of the 100million people watching that where ND was introduced to her. Living off of Harbor Blvd, seeing ND in ’94, and then to see this i was like the proudest mother with tears. and they are all having such a great time! GO ND!!!!!!

  4. Missy SURE DID!!! everything about her is great. Her videos were innovative, style, & she did HER OWN BEATS. Ms. Minaj cant come even close with her stank ass attitude. i also dont even feel katy perry was worthy of playing either

  5. i LOVE how in the 4th video “where did the name no doubt come from? you know thats ebonics right??” HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA he really threw her off guard on that one lol!!!
