We’re curious which version of No Doubt’s B-side, “Leftovers”, is your favorite! Though the track appears on the band’s B-sides and rarities collection, Everything In Time, No Doubt first debuted the “brand new” song to fans on May 15, 1996 in Hollywood. The original version (which sadly we only have this live rough recording) gives the song a much, much harder sound than what appears on the laid-back reggae studio track. Though both versions are amazing (and a personal favorite), which one do you prefer?
“Leftovers” (live original version)
Vs.
“Leftovers” (studio version; appears on Everything In Time)

Yep! Since the live version is such crap audio I’ll have to go with the studio version.
Studio version fits more the song.
live version.
This is one of my favorites…I like both versions, but prefer the studio.
For the record, I didn’t mean any offense, but compared to the studio version it’s poor quality. Of course it’s still awesome we got an early live version.
Both sound great and tbh, they’re quite the same. The live version has such poor quality though, so I will go with the studio one.
I never heard this live version! Thanks for posting. I’ve always loved “Leftovers.”
You are so welcome! I love having these polls that feature material that some fans may have missed over the years. 🙂
Live version all the way!
What a great surprise! Love this song and I’ve never heard, or heard of, it til just now. It’s so No Doubty — instant classic far as I’m concerned.
