  1. ND will be really busy in May. I guess that cuts short Gwen’s (possible) solo album campaign. I can’t imagine her doing both at the same time with so many ND dates and all her other projects.

  2. At this rate, might as well hold off on the solo and go back to No Doubt… Pharrell is a creative guy but nothing can beat the songwriting chemistry she has with Tom and Tony. She needs to start writing journals again and reflect on everything that has changed in her life. What happens when all your dreams come true? Is it what have you always expected? Is the fame worth giving up the simple kind of life you always wanted? Is it fair to have so much expectations for a woman of your stature? Where do you find strength and inspiration? What is the biggest challenge of being a celebrity parent? Is it realistic to have it all? And when your star fade will you let go? How is your perspective e different now that you are in your forties? Food for thought Gwen!!! 🙂 Start writing Gwen. Tell us your input and let the lyrics start flowing 😉

  3. I’m glad they’ve got another good gig anyway….
Also, I’d find it interesting for some deep music by Gwen but…
I guess Gwen just does it for the fun, especially now!!!

  4. Yeah maybe she will get inspired at some point to write another album like ROS, with more meaningful lyrics. I’d actually like a more stripped down kind of album.

  5. I’m thinking her solo album will be pushed back until summer – if it comes out at all. I think it will all depend on if The Voice wants her back this fall. As much as I want new music now, the timing would be terrible with two failed singles under her belt.

And I agree that it’s bizarre that her well has gone dry in regards to songwriting. I miss her personal lyrics – and NOT about being overwhelmed like on P/S, but with love and her other issues. It used to be such a great source of pride for her to write lyrics on her own.

This new ND gig is exciting. I hope there will be more. If they do Summerfest I’m totally going!

  6. its true, she has nothing to write about, coz she wrote it all alrdy, she cant write about her kids, nor how she makes love with his husband… nor how she has been dealing with him cheating on her.. so on. i miss such time where PARADIRSE, BEAUTY CONTEST where her inspiration.. but its over coz she has it all

  7. Was just thinking about this today…. How I was let down with the subject matter on P&S. I think you need to dig a little deeper if all you’re coming up with “and I think that says it all”. I was honestly shocked they would approve those lyrics for a song…. Might as well sing “I have nothing else to say”.
