Looks like they were just added to Summerfest’s official site this morning!
Gwen Stefani and No Doubt are coming back to Summerfest.
The festival announced today that No Doubt, with support act Paramore, will play the Marcus Amphitheater on July 2. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. March 7 through all Ticketmaster outlets, including www.ticketmaster.com and the Marcus box office.
Prices are $67 for all covered seats and $52 for bench seating, excluding service charges. No Doubt tickets include admission to the Summerfest grounds.
The No Doubt tour figures to be one of the year’s more anticipated outings. The group hasn’t toured in five years and hasn’t released a new album since 2001 while Stefani pursued her solo career.
No Doubt previously headlined the Marcus Amphitheater in 1997 and 2000.
In explaining the decision to reunite, Stefani said in a statement, “The whole reason for going on tour was to have fun, try on all our favorite songs again and to get inspired to make more music.”
The No Doubt show is the third Marcus Amphitheater announcement for Summerfest 2009. Kenny Chesney, with Blake Shelton and Julianne Hough, will play July 3, and George Strait performs June 29, with Miranda Lambert and Lady Antebellum opening.
Summerfest runs from June 25 to July 5.
