Flashback Friday: “Settle Down” Premiere

Can you believe it’s almost been a year since “Settle Down” was released? On today’s Flashback Friday, we’re looking back at the hype and world premiere of No Doubt’s comeback and debut single from Push and Shove, “Settle Down”. The song debuted on the Billboard charts at #34 and was well received by critics and fans everywhere.

The making of the “Settle Down” video was shared over two webisodes back in early July of last year. The video was filmed over two days at Downey Studios in Downey, California on June 12-13, 2012. The video was directed by longtime friend and director, Sophie Muller.

“Settle Down” world premiered on the E! network on July 16, 2012 during their own special, “No Doubt: Settle Down”.

No Doubt first premiered “Settle Down” live at the Teen Choice Awards a few days later on July 22, 2012.

  1. time flies!! and the Downey Studios which the video was filmed at we’re knocked down and no longer there :/ wonder why? they have been there forever.

  2. Good memories. Yeah it deserved a better position on the charts. But at least we can appreciate it for what it is, a great tune.

  3. That was when everything still seemed so promising about the P&S era lol. One year already? Seriously? Where did the time go?

    I’m still bummed it didn’t do better. It did have everything to be a top 20 hit.

  4. I’m still sad that this whole album didn’t do better. I really love it and keep it in my car all the time!! We know they put a lot of time and effort in it but I guess you can’t win them all.
