For this week’s edition of Flashback Friday, we’re looking back at No Doubt’s memorable live set in New York, New York at the Hammerstein Ballroom back on February 24, 2003. The band had just took home their first Grammy the night before and we’re on such a high together during the show.

No Doubt put on a special concert (and their only one of the year!) for fans in New York that included a few treats with bringing both members of Incubus and Gwen’s husband Gavin Rossdale onstage for their encore. The band performed special and unique covers of The Police’s “Message In A Bottle” and U2’s “The Sweetest Thing”. Their energy was incredible and thankfully fans are able to re-live the show by all the footage that is available. You can check out photos from the show, including some from our good friend Conor, here. Enjoy!

  1. I was there, I was a teenager who thought throwing Chai and Chamomile tea on stage would please Gwen. (Chamomile tea because of Hey Baby and she was preparing Chai in an interview that came out around that time). I remember them promoting this on TRL because it was a sudden show, and Gwen was like, “Well, we want people to be there, HELLO!” to Carson
