In a quick new interview with The New Orleans Advocate, Adrian discussed his love for New Orleans football and music and shares how legend Paul McCartney showed his appreciation to the band at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2010.
“…New Orleans is one the most special cities in the world. It’s so full of culture, like no city I’ve ever seen. Combine that with the football team that you’re a diehard fan for, it’s like a magnet, for sure.” Adrian has been a hardcore New Orleans Saints fan since meeting quarterback Drew Brees and wife Brittany in 2007. The couples met during a golf tournament and says he and his family check out a Saints game on their trips to New Orleans.
Adrian also loves the music scene in New Orleans saying, “it’s got a whole different soul than music from other parts of the world, especially California.”
After performing before the President and Paul McCartney at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2010, Paul complimented the band saying they “brought life back to the songs, like they used to be.” No Doubt performed a medley of Beatles classics “Hello, Goodbye”, “All My Loving”, “Penny Lane” and Paul had sent personal letters to each which was a “major honor” for the band.
No Doubt is set to headline tomorrow night’s New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival (Jazzfest) happening in New Orleans!
