Rains and Snows

Ironic..
Cos’ it may seem she finds her warmth in the cold
She’s kinda nervous as she sits on the steps of her front porch.

If it rains
And if it’s cold enough, it will snow
Her father said
If it rains
And if it’s cold enough, it will snow

She’s always searching through the pockets of her woolen overcoat
Looking from remnants of a place that she is longing for

And if it rains
And if it’s cold enough, it will snow
Just like it before
If it’s cold she is warm and not so alone

So….

When it rains and it snows and the birds have all flown away for winter
She is home
When it rains and it snows and it’s all very cold
She knows she’s home again

In a place that she belongs, nurtured by the showers
Her roots were on the way
She was a flower in bloom
Transplanted too soon without a say

If it rains
And if it’ scold enough, it will snow
Her father said
If it rains
And if it’ cold enough, it will snow

So…

When it rains and it snows and the birds have all flown away for winter
She is home
When it rains and it snows and it’s all very cold she knows she’s home again
Yeah
When it rains and it snows and it’s all very cold she knows she’s home again

Rain is coming down on Charlotte
It turns her frown around
And she dances in the…
Rain is coming down on Charlotte
It turns her frown around
And she dances in the…

Rain is…
The rain is….
The rain is….
The rain is…

Ohh…

When it rains and it snows and the birds have all flown away for winter
I said she is home
When it rains and it snows and it’s all very cold she knows she’s home again
When it rains and it snows and it’s all very cold she knows she’s home again
