Sneak Peek at Opening ‘Kuu Kuu Harajuku’ Title Performed by Gwen (Updated)

Check out clips of the opening title of Kuu Kuu Harajuku, which features a super kawaii song performed by Gwen herself! The new animated series made it’s debut in Australia this morning and was executive produced and co-created by Gwen. Fans in Australia that missed the premiere are able to stream it in full on TenPlay now and make sure to tune in every Sunday at 10:00AM.

Thank you so, so much to super fan James for capturing the opening for us to share with everyone! Kuu Kuu Harajuku looks super charming and we wish nothing but success to Gwen and her production team on the show.

Update!

Check out a couple of cute segment clips which feature Gwen interacting with HJ5 that are included in every episode!

  1. I love the song. It’s what I imagined it would be. So cute and it matches the show. I hope we can hear it in HQ soon. 🙂

  2. Wasn’t there one article that said Mattel was already on board to supply merch? I think so. This looks really cute and the songs sounds fun too, I’m sure little girls will love it.

  3. Yeah, Mattel is probably already producing the dolls. I think the show will be successful. It has all the ingredients for that.

I’ve tried to rip the video from the site but I’m totally clueless. lol I’d like to watch it.

  4. Not sure if you guys have watched, I just did. It’s cute, very child oriented, reminded me of the Bratz cartoon, don’t ask me why. The band manager reminds of a picture of Eric Stefani (from the 80’s) that Gwen put on Instagram a while ago, very rude boy. The only thing that kinda spoiled the fun was that the songs are performed by other people, not Gwen (wishfull thinking!), but she does pop up during the commercial break. Other than that, it’s average cartoon for girls (being a parent, I’ve been exposed to loads), and if they in fact have a plan to sell toys, that will be the key for success, specially since we all know the HL kids products sold like water in the desert.

  5. I’m just surprise no one has picked up the show in the US. That’s why I thought they were goin to do a test run in Australia to see how it performs

  6. I tried my best at the lyrics; help!

    1. Yes, I’m in Brazil but it’s very simple to stream overseas… Ever heard about VPN? I use Google Chrome and installed an add on called HOLA. It allows you to stream stuff all over the world. Just open the link Jenny posted and ask to HOLA to connect you to a VPN network from Australia.
Just so you know it 2 stories per episode and Gwen shows up at intermission and looks like not all stories will focus on G only, but all 5 girls.

        1. There are other optios for VPN Proxy. HOLA works best for me. But it was only after the 3rd try (changing to different servers) that it finally worked. It’s bound to pop online very soon.
