Shirley Manson Revealed As Author Of Gwen’s Elle UK Interview; Details

Amazing! It’s been revealed that Shirley Manson of Garbage is the author of Gwen’s upcoming ELLE UK interview! Gwen and Shirley met back in 1996 and have been close ever since. We are so excited for the article that we should be getting in at anytime.

In the article she discusses her her regimen for keeping her body in shape, like every other magazine discussion. She continues to say it’s a “daily struggle” for her and works out five days a week. Gwen says she wants to eat whatever she wants but then finds herself not fitting into clothes she wants. She likes to look good on stage, and finds herself beating herself up if not in shape. Gwen likes to wear makeup every day, saying Gavin loves it and she doesn’t feel “energized” if she’s not made up. Like revealed before, her favorite shampoo (and what she uses) is Pantene (so do I!) She also says that the last collection of L.A.M.B. she felt was a disaster until about two weeks before it hit the runway. Going off the quote we posted before, Gwen mentioned that going all “bare” is “boring” to her. Her John Galliano designed wedding dress will also be featured in V&A and she was nervous it was going to be “ruined” — it’s her favorite outfit/dress ever.

Daily Mail — There are many Hollywood starlets who claim their amazing figures are down to little more than eating what they like and good genes.

So it is refreshing to learn that a singer with one of the best bodies in the business has to work hard to maintain her toned shape.

Gwen Stefani has revealed that sculpting her shape is ‘a daily struggle’ and has put her toned physique down to a grueling fitness regime.

Speaking to the U.K version of Elle Magazine the 41-year-old said: ‘I work out five days a week, I can’t imagine not doing it.’

The mother-of-two also admits she does sometimes find it a struggle and added: ‘I’d like to have no rules and eat what I want, but I’ve learned over the years that I’m so disappointed when I can’t wear the clothes I want to wear.’

‘And if I let myself down, appear on stage when I’m not looking my best, it’s not fun for me. I just beat myself up about it.’

But whatever Gwen is doing it is definitely working and the pictures that accompany the interview show her fine form off in a pale mocha-coloured dress as she lies across the floor.

Sporting her signature blonde locks and red lipstick the fashion designer looks stunning as she poses for the demure and stylish cover shoot.

Another shot sees Gwen pose with her back arched and shows off the curves she so fastidiously works on in a demure peach dress with a split up her thigh.

Opening up: The interview appears in the April edition of the U.K.version of Elle magazine.

As well as paying close attention to her figure Gwen admits she doesn’t leave the house with a full face and said: ‘ I wear make-up every single day; I like to wear make-up for Gavin and I don’t feel energised till I’ve put it on, then I’m ready to go.’

Asked what her budget beauty buy was Gwen replied: ‘My Pantene shampoo, I have tons of that.’

In the interview, which appears in the April edition of the U.K. Elle magazine, the fashion designer reveals how she always made her own clothes and has plenty of plans for her new LAMB line.

She said: ‘I’m not even close to being where I want it to be yet. [Fashion] is very, very hard to do well, but I’m learning.

I’m getting to the point where the last collection we did was a disaster until two weeks before – I had to fly to Montreal and review the whole collection – and it ended up being one of the most cohesive collections we’d ever done.’

Stefani certainly received a warm reception when she showcased her new line at New York Fashion Week last month, but it was son Kingston who stole the show walking the catwalk with his mum.

When asked about who she imagines wearing her clothes she replied by saying Rihanna had worn one of her jackets saying ‘that was hot’.

In the interview, conducted by her friend Shirley Manson of Garbage, Gwen said baring all is ‘boring’ and her favourite outfit is her wedding dress, designed by disgraced designer John Galliano.

She married British grunge musician Gavin Rossdale in 2002 and wore a dress by the sacked Dior designer saying it was ‘this unbelievable, perfect dress.’

‘It’s going into the V&A now. I didn’t wanna send it because I was scared it would get ruined. But it’s a work of art, it needed to be seen.’

The full interview is in the April Edition of the U.K. version of Elle magazine on sale March 8.
