Well this is interesting… and pretty far fetched. Apparently there is a rumor going around that Gwen has been approached to be a part of the new panel of judges on Australia’s version of The Voice. It seems pretty wild that she would participate, considering her busy schedule, her family, it being taped in another part of the world and she has stated in the past that she wouldn’t be interested in a role like this cause she doesn’t like giving advice and confrontations. The story was recently posted on Perez Hilton’s (ugh) website and I found a mention of it online as well. We can maybe see her (or the band) appearing on the show as a guest maybe, but not being at the judges panel the whole season.
Daily Telegraph — CHANNEL Nine is close to signing at least one major international pop star to lead its panel of coaches on new reality singing show, The Voice.
Insider understands Nine is in talks with Christina Aguilera, George Michael, Usher, Pink and Gwen Stefani to appear on the show when it airs early next year.
Sources tell us it’s simply a matter of organising schedules to spend three or more months in Australia, which is an attractive proposition to the prospective judges.
Media Spy — The Nine Network and production company Shine Australia are reportedly close to signing their first music celebrity to judge and coach contestants on the upcoming reality series The Voice Australia.
According to last weekend’s The Sunday Telegraph, producers are currently in talks with Christina Aguilera, George Michael, Usher, Pink and Gwen Stefani.
