Poll: Favorite Look from the “Misery” Music Video? (Updated)

Gwen’s evolution of styles throughout her new “Misery” music video are nothing short of stunning and we’re curious which one stood out the most. While the theme of the video is up to each owns interpretation, we think the video showcases many different sides of Gwen including soft and sweet, sexy and seductive to outrageous and unique.

In exclusive interviews with Billboard and WWD, stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn opened up about the inspiration behind the video and spilled details on the gorgeous gowns featured throughout.

“The inspiration was to create a beautiful and striking look that had a juxtaposition to the industrial and gritty location,” Zangardi and Haenn commented. “The goal was to create a high fashion editorial story that no matter what the backdrop was, Gwen would stand out in a strong yet feminine and whimsical way.”

“We organically came up with each look in the fitting and then decided which location and set up would be most complementary based on lighting and background. Each look called for a a different hair and make up look as well, so for the whole glam team, we all were given the platform to push the creative boundaries.” (WWD)

“The whole video was sort of a take on a high-fashion editorial,” said Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi, Stefani’s two lead stylists. “We knew that the background was going to be gritty and industrial, so our job was to bring life to the environment through hair, makeup and styling.” (Billboard)

Since the looks don’t necessarily have names, we labeled each segment in which she appears in the video and attached photos from the videos. Please vote in the poll below and tell us which of the looks was your favorite!

We’ve also added 100 high quality screen captures from Gwen’s new “Misery” music video to our gallery here.

#4 Dress by Molly Goddard "This dress was extremely oversized and sheer but we knew there was major styling potential. We chose a graphic agent provocateur bra and high-waisted brief with black fishnets, and cinched the waist by wrapping a black, leather trim around her center to mimic a ballerina shoe."

#9 Bustier by La Perla, red tulle skirt by Rocky Gathercole "Between the size and the color of this skirt, we were all so drawn to it because it had such a presence. We wanted a dramatic outfit; one that would complement, and not compete, with the individual in terms and be a bold statement while still having a whimsical feel. The La Perla bustier was the perfect match, both in color and balance, as well as making it feel even sexier and feminine. The red veil was tulle by the yard that we placed over her to accentuate the whole look."
