Gwen is getting high praises for her look at the MET Ball Monday night. She walked the red carpet in an original L.A.M.B. design that was a throwback to Grace Kelly and high glamour. Cojo, a respected fashion correspondent for E! News, named Gwen the second best dressed of the night! She looked incredibly stunning!

Talking Makeup — Pantene Celebrity Stylist Danilo created Gwen Stefani’s hairdo for the 2010 MET Ball.

According to Danilo: “Gwen’s dress was made from a gold, vintage thread fabric from the 30’s, and we wanted to honor the ethereal flow by creating a chic silhouette from head to toe. I created a dramatic, contemporary twist inspired by Grace Kelly and the Hitchcock film goddesses.”

After washing her hair for a clean base, I applied the NEW Pantene Pro-V Color Nourishing Treatment, left it in for 5 minutes, and rinsed. I always opt to treat hair before a night of styling, especially on color-treated hair, so it is soft and appears in its healthiest form for the lights and cameras.

On her wet hair, I evenly spritzed the NEW Pantene Pro-V Medium-Thick Heat Protection & Shine Spray to prep for the blow dry. Midway through, I focused on her roots by spraying them with the Pantene Pro-V Root Lifter Spray Gel to help thicken her roots to support the grand bouffant. After blow drying, I pulled all of her hair back, pinning hair in place to create the lift, and used my fingers to form piecey rows on the top of her hair so it wasn’t perfectly smooth. To finish the look, I used the NEW Pantene Pro-V Medium-Thick Anti-Humidity Hairspray to keep her hair frizz-free in the horrible NYC humidity.”

The NEW Pantene products are launching in-stores in June 2010.

Pop Sugar — Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale traveled east together yesterday and were once again side by side at the Met’s Costume Institute Gala in NYC this evening. Gwen is wearing her own line, L.A.M.B., while Gavin’s more simple suit let her gown get all the attention. The two are putting up a strong united front after recent negative rumors, but as they said, “all is good” with the Rossdale family and this is a perfectly glamorous date night for Gwen and Gavin.

Fab Sugar — Gwen Stefani showed off a softer side tonight in a tulle-embellished shimmery gold gown from her own L.A.M.B. label. Transparency throughout the column gown is interesting. Adore her art deco cuff. Simple gold studs, bronze clutch, and hubby Gavin top it all off. Is Gwen ticking all the boxes for a night out at the Met?

Gwen is also featured on a video from Style.com briefly being interviewed by Vogue contributer, William Norwich. She appears at the 2:00 and 3:20 minute marks.
