  1. For those fans that hated her AMA’s look….to me this is 100x more awful. I just don’t get it… We’ve known Gwen for 20+ years and I just don’t get this???? She looks totally nuts

  2. I am loving this new free gwen. The fashion choices this past month have been the most daring looks I’ve seen from her since LAMB era! And her hair reminds me of the Looking Hot video

  3. Gwen always took fashion risks to the extreme her whole life, except the last 5 years. Now THIS is the free Gwen we know!!!! Take fashion to the extreme, she looks amazing and nobody can pull this off except her (come on, we’ve seen Gwen go totally nuts on What You Waiting For, Ex-Girlfriend, etc videos and now you can’t tolerate this???). That’s what defines Gwen. If you think she can’t pull this off, you just don’t get Gwen!

  4. ^^^^exactly Jen! I’m totally aware of the Gwen I love with all her ridiculous fashions throughout the years. This just doesn’t look like it ties into her signature & I don’t see the fashion in it either. Just looks totally off.

    1. And the outfit and hair are hideous. When Gwen has taken fashion risks, a lot of them have been cool and funky. This is just ugly and wrong.

  5. oh god. more cultural appropriation? all because blake was performing and she thought the cowboy and indian thing would be cute? girrrrrrl. this is a major bummer. ugh. i cant believe no one told her to rethink this look.

    1. I’m sorry Leah, but it is. Wearing Native American-inspired fashion and hairstyle without any nuance whatsoever is absolutely disrespectful to a culture that has been subject to genocide by the white race.

Seems Gwen has absolutely no social conscience and is too shallow to really care.

      1. Hmm, its a weak example though. I mean this is nothing compared to the Looking Hot video tbh. Gwen isn’t racist and whilst sometimes she might appear ignorant with “borrowing” (idk how to word it) fashion from other cultures, its not to exploit those cultures and is purely out of admiration.

  6. I think it’s good that she is taking risks with her looks again, but I think this haistyle and outfit don’t do anything for her… She had some really bad looks during the RS era imho, but this one is even worse lol. That said, I still enjoy seeing her taking risks and surprising people with “weird” looks. That’s basically one of the main things that made her famous besides her unique voice of course.

  7. I think the look is really cool…
Fashion is experimental and fun, you should be able to dress up as you want…
The style is influenced by native american culture but I just don’t understand how it’s being racist at all unless you’re mocking or being negative towards that culture? I’m never going to get my head around how being inspired by something can possibly be racist towards them!
Racism is about hate of another race and not love.
Gwen is in no way racist at all.

  8. Please, can we block “J.” and “k8”? Let’s do it as a Christmas gift for everyone.

Trendy morality and ignorance are more offensive than anything in this world.

    1. Does Gwen give to that community in any way? Does she use her money and power as an entertainer to raise awareness to the ostracism and unfair conditions they are ruled by? Has he followed the steps of his fellow celebrity Brad Pitt, who recently built home for homeless Native American tribes? I don’t those things even cross her mind, nor does she want to see them.

I think Gwen is anything but racist, just sometimes ignorant or unaware of the world around her. I value her grace, her integrity, her charisma, her humbleness and of course her forward-thinking talent in music and fashion, but I can’t agree with cultural apropiation unless the person is giving something to that culture. And that cowboy and indian thing with Blake, what the hell? There is something very troubling historically behind those Western films Gwen adores you know? It can’t all be aesthetic.

If you call being aware, trendy and ignorant, what can I say for you…And no you can only block someone if they have been offensive and I haven’t been.

      1. It’s a hair-do. And a dress. Big deal! People get inspired by other cultures all the time. For example, many of the current trends come from black culture (clothes, hair, slang, music). Did you get this mad when she rocked cornrows during ROS? Or a bindi during TK? How do you know what causes she’s donates to?

        1. It’s good that people take aesthetically from other cultures, but I wish they showed more awareness about thos issues. And taking things from black culture used to be cool in the 00s, when people were more disconnected and ignorant. In 2015 it’s just not that cool. You can be inspired by other cultures but also raise awareness about social issues, it’s a give and take.

I’m not calling Gwen racist, I don’t think she is, but she should be more aware about the world around her, that’s all.

          1. I think your expectations of celebrities/entertainers are a little high. I dare to say most are not worldly or educated – and many are narcissistic. I’m not saying Gwen is all those things, but I also don’t expect her to stand on a soapbox and shout for equality or build homes.

  9. You guys are funny. Just look 2 post down, the anniversary of TSE. What about that silly look? She can’t get It right every time. I think it’s great to see her do something other than look “pretty” for once. So if she want to wear a costume and rock a weirdo grungy hairstyle, I’m all for it.

  10. The twists on the side are cute, it’s the top not I don’t like. Still, it’s pretty silly if people get OFFENDED by a hairstyle LOL

  11. There is one thing that the most of you are not considering about culture appropiation. There are things like a “simple” hairstyle or things that for us are just an accesory, that for others cultures have an important or sacred meaning and this is what we have to thing, that is disrespectfull. Just try to imagine, if you had something sacred and how you would feel if someone else use that in a context that trivalizes it. I also don’t thing Gwen is racist, jus ignorant about this like the most celebrities, we can forget she is another celebrity.
