  1. Omg, that girl Karin Bukowski is so weird… She’s like socially retarded or mentally retarded… I don’t know but she’s weird.

  2. Batcaver, seriously? Do you need to insult a girl like that? You’re oh so perfect!

I feel that this season Gwen’s team is really weak. I hope some of her artists really stand out as we move towards the live shows.

  3. I only watched the clip above, but she doesn’t seem THAT weird to me? Seems like a sweet girl. I’m not crazy about her voice, but at least she has pre-med to fall back on LOL I’m sure Gwen saw a bit of herself in the girl’s voice.

  4. After reading that article now I feel worried about her because she don’t even have a good voice… Her voice is Ok, nothing impressive. And she don’t look weird (looks like a regular vintage hipster) … She ACTS weird. But, whatever, good luck for her.

  5. I agree with @ndlover, Gwen kinda does have a weaker team this season. & to be 110% honest I think she’s most peoples last choice… I mean when TSE was out some of those kids where potty training. Both Adam & Pharrell are both current in todays musical landscape & Blake is prob the biggest country star on the planet. I hope her team ends up being really sharp, skilled and great! I can’t wait to start voting for Team Gwen!!

  6. I agree bob, the other three have more star power and I honestly don’t expect Gwen to ever win. Adam and Blake have a lot of charm and humor and big personalities and I think they overshadow the other judges at times. As long as our girl is having fun, then that’s all that matters! Hey, it lead her back to music, which I am grateful for!

And BTW Jenny and team…bravo on all this detailed Voice coverage! Wow! The time you guys put into this site is amazing!

    1. Amanda! Thank you! Yeah, it’s fun keeping up with the show and I seem to be more into this season than the previous one Gwen was on.

I’ll be on vacation for about two weeks starting tomorrow so I’ll have to catch up on Monday’s and Tuesday’s episodes when I get back. I’m taking a legit vacation and not bringing my laptop this time. 🙂

  7. It’s the same with other female coaches though. Many contestants still mention how Gwen is a legend and so cool! But at the end of the day they only feel comfortable at the hands of a man. It’s a man’s world after all. I’m sure Gwen knows all that at this stage of her life. That’s why you keep seeing male contestants winning this kind of contests. Usually women are shut down, especially by the audience.

  8. I didn’t like either girl’s performance to be honest, but I think Korin was better than Alex. Both of them were clearly putting on voices, I think Gwen will be able to get them to sing more as themselves though. Alex had a good lower register but the higher straining wasn’t nice to listen to, at all. And I feel like Korin was trying too hard to make her voice sound unique, but she clearly has good range underneath.

  9. @NDLOVER you expressed that perfectly. I would also like to add, this season is blatantly country heavy. It’s very obvious. Honestly that’s not fair either: Blake (who I do love) gets to pick the best of the best for 1 genre while the other 3 pretty much fight over the same. If they are going to do that, then they should have a higher percentage of pop/rock singers (I mean Adam really is pop now also). Also, country fans ALWAYS vote for Blake, regardless if they like another artist better. I actually know a few country fans who do not even watch but make sure they vote each week for Blake (kinda silly). Pop/rock fans are split. All of my random soapbox soliloquy aside, it’s just for entertainment and I love seeing Gwenny Gwen Gwen be playful and have fun <3

  10. I love Ellie! I will be rooting for her. She is unique and seems like she has got the personality. Plus she really admires Gwen. <3

  11. Here’s what Gwen says about not being picked cause she’s the only female on the show.

“I felt like I wasn’t getting picked because I was the only girl a few times,” Stefani says. “Girls are so dumb sometimes at that age — I know, because I was there. But, I know exactly what to do — I’m you! — and I’ve been through it already. It was weird, because I had not had that feeling in a long time — not having an equal playing field, because of my gender. I don’t know how real that is.”

  12. I honestly don’t think it has ANYTHING to do with her being a woman… Its about star power & relevance to all those kids. I guarantee if it were Taylor Swift, Katy Perry or Rhianna they would be everyone’s first pick (except for maybe the country singers lol)

  13. To be honest, if I were looking to get into the music biz, wouldn’t pick Gwen either. 10 years ago? Yes.

Now if I wanted to get into the fashion industry, then I would pick her LOL

  14. Oh jesus. It’s not like I don’t think she is amazing and talented. It’s a competition after all…and these contestants strategize. Blake and Adam have hot careers right now….thus…they get good teams and many wins. Like bob said, if Taylor were on the show, she’d probably win too. It’s as much of a popularity contest as it is a singing competition.
