Harajuku Lovers Kids Designs Are Getting Pulled From Shelves

Holy crap! In a new article from entertainmentandshowbiz.com, apparently some retailers are actually now pulling Harajuku Lovers for kids off of their shelves due to the choking hazard recall from the hoodies that happened a couple weeks ago.

Designs penned by singer Gwen Stefani for kids have reportedly been taken off shelves in the U.S. after posing to be a choking hazard.

Distributors in California were said to have pulled off The Harajuku Lovers hooded jackets apparently fearing that the drawstrings could lead to strangulation.

The jackets had been priced at 50 pounds and no harm has been reported, reports the Daily Star. They formed a part of the pop star’s Harajuku Lovers and L.A.M.B. collection for kids and adults. (ANI)

  1. I can fully understand retailers wanting to take every precaution, but I think it’s important to keep in mind that 1.No injuries have been reported, thank God 2. It was a voluntary recall 3. Any potential risk the hoodies posed can be eliminated by cutting the string off of the hoodie(and of course consumers were given the option of returning them).Again though I can understand the retailers’ concerns,I’m just glad it was only two prints of hoodies that were involved.
