Yay! Gwen is looking amazing on the cover of the July issue of Elle magazine (not sure about the outfit though…) which hits stores on June 15th now, which was said to be the 11th before. Thanks to Celebrity Baby Scoop for the photo and the following article, and I also found a bunch of quotes from the upcoming magazine on her apparent “tensions” with the band and how Kingston “is insane right now.” We should have all the scans up on BSO in the next week or so!
In the new issue of Elle magazine, touring mom Gwen Stefani opens up about tensions on the road and at home.
The No Doubt singer, who shows off her signature bold style on the magazine’s July cover, insists that any bickering within the band has been blown out of proportion in the media, saying, “some fights aren’t really what they seem.”
Meanwhile, Gwen and her husband Gavin Rossdale are facing a challenge on the home front with their 3-year-old son Kingston.
“It’s one thing when you have an infant, but when you have this two-or three-year-old going, ‘Mommy, what’s the deal?!’ it’s harder,” Gwen admits. “Kingston’s whole thing is, ‘I need, I need.’ He is insane right now. We’re just hoping for the best and that he’s not going to turn out to be a freak, but we’ll see.”
Gwen and Gavin are also parents to son Zuma, who turns 1 in August.

Gwen Stefani is on the cover of the new Elle magazine looking ready to rock the No Doubt summer tour. Gwen admitted that there was a bit of conflict when the band got back together. She also reveals that son Kingston has hit the terrible twos.
“Everybody’s making it like there’s all this tension, you know, like I stepped away from the band and now they’re jealous of me, and look, maybe there is a little bit of that,” she says. The band attempted to write a new record before going on tour, but were unable to come up with new material. Things came to a head one day when they were recording a cover of Adam and the Ants’ “Stand and Deliver.” She and bass player Tony Kanal got into “a heated conversation” over the track.
“But some fights aren’t really what they seem,” Gwen says. “I think it was a little about the song, and a little about our coming back together. There was this little air bubble that needed to pop, you know?”
At home, the singer faces other challenges with being a mom. “It’s one thing when you have an infant,” she says. “but when you have this two-or three-year-old going, ‘Mommy, what’s the deal?!’ it’s harder. Kingston’s whole thing is, ‘I need, I need.’ He is insane right now. We’re just hoping for the best and that he’s not going to turn out to be a freak, but we’ll see.”
The issue hits newsstands on June 15th.
