Gwen Takes the Stage in Tacoma with Blake Shelton

Gwen took to the stage again for another special performance of her duet with Blake Shelton in Tacoma, Washington last night with “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.” She’s been Snapchatting from the road these past few days while on the road with Blake and surprised country fans last night with another appearance at the Tacoma Dome. She looked stunning in a black-and-white fringe dress and black fishnets. The Seattle Times reported that it was a nice treat to see Gwen “in the flesh” and said that Blake playfully teased the audience saying that they owed him for bringing her out onstage.

It’s a thrill to know that Gwen was back in my hometown area and one of my close friends who attended the show said that the crowd went crazy for her and everyone seemed to bring out their phones to capture the moment.

Check out a few photos from the show courtesy of fans that attended the show last night in Tacoma.

  1. Is it really a “surprise” performance at this point? I think she’s performed this song more times than her own singles from TIWTTFL.

I’m curious as to why it wasn’t a single. With how much Gwen promotes this relationship, I would think they’d want to do a video together too lol

    1. Ha, technically no. I bet it’s still exciting for fans that don’t follow social media that didn’t know any better. I regret not buying a ticket to the show now, especially since it fell on a weekend.

I agree that it should have been a single but I think the two just really enjoy these moments on a smaller scale and love performing it together. It’s just really refreshing seeing her so happy lately after these past crazy years.

      1. I dunno, I honestly miss when she was more private about her life on social media or interviews.

I’m thinking the record label doesn’t want it as a single since it doesn’t really fit in with pop or country?

        1. It’s still crazy seeing her on every tabloid when I go grocery shopping. The old 13-year-old me that collected everything with her face on it back in the day would be struggling now. :/

          1. I think I threw out most of my magazine collection years ago, but I’m pretty sure I kept the iconic Spin cover and their first Rolling Stone 😉

  2. Yeah, I still have a couple of gallon tubs filled with clippings and collectibles from over the years which I don’t think I could ever part with. 🙂

    1. Ahem. *raises hand* Newbie fan, and one who LOVES collecting and collating. Also one who lives in Australia and has to pay through the nose for any single magazine purchases from eBay, sadly.
