Gwen returned to The Ellen DeGeneres Show to for a new interview and the two chatted about her summer tour which she calls “spiritual” for her. Gwen found it incredible touring again and seeing fans face-to-face that have supported and inspired her so much over the years. She spoke about bringing all three of her boys along for the ride this summer and says that they had an awesome time together. “It was exhausting, but it was fun.” Gwen mentioned again how the tour was short due to her boys having to go back to school. She says that she feels extremely grateful to all the fans that came out to the shows this summer and is looking forward to her final shows in California next month.
Gwen mentioned that she’s visited The Voice set a few times this season and finds it surreal being there again but not being on the program. She says that she admires both Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys (whom are both first-time coaches for season 11) and thinks they are doing a fabulous job on The Voice.
Ellen joked with Gwen about clearing space on her calendar for her and Blake Shelton’s “wedding plans”, which has been a tabloid rumor seems like since they began dating almost a year ago. In typical Gwen fashion, she laughs it off and calls Ellen “crazy” and plays into the joke saying, “Okay, I’ll let you know.” It’s funny to see the good friends exchange laughs and Gwen seemingly being a good sport about being put on the spot about Blake.

The audience was treated to a clip of Gwen’s upcoming animated series for Nickelodeon Kuu Kuu Harajuku which she calls a dream come true. “I wanted to do a cartoon for girls that is appropriate and fun to watch. It has a great spirit about individuality and it’s all about Love, Angel, Music, and G and their band HJ5. They have this whole fantasy world where anything can happen and all these obstacles… It’s just a really fun project for me cause it’s really everything I love. It’s art, fashion, music, traveling, self-expression and it’s all for girls.”
Gwen also excitingly spoke her involvement with Trolls and shared that the opportunity came about right in the middle of writing This Is What the Truth Feels Like. She says that collaborator Justin Timberlake surprised Gwen with a song and she admitted that she had no idea that he was involved with the film, too. “I’ve wanted to work with him forever… he’s so incredibly talented and magical.” She says that he played her the track (which we’re assuming is the club-banger “What U Working With?”) and felt instantly connected to the song saying it was a direct reflection of her. Gwen shared that the song will be included in the film, too.
Gwen looked extremely gorgeous and she just radiated happiness throughout the interview. We always love seeing her on Ellen!
Gwen most recently appeared on Ellen back in February for an interview and performance of “Make Me Like You”.
