L.A.M.B. has been notably absent from NYFW since it’s last showing back in September 2014 with the “New Nomad” spring 2015 collection. Her shows have always been highly sought-after and brought Gwen’s creativity to a whole new level from the visuals to the music. L.A.M.B. later released it’s latest fall 2015 collection via a look book courtesy of Style.com.
Gwen shared with WWD that she misses presenting her debut label “so badly” and admits that it’s always been a struggle due to the event happening during the beginning of the school year. She’s still designing and staying busy by working on the third collection of eyewear with Tura for L.A.M.B. and Gx as well as the fourth line of L.A.M.B. x Burton. Gwen says that she really enjoys collaborating with Burton saying that they let her design whatever she wants saying, “I look exactly like I do when I come off stage but I’m in skiwear. All the girls in X-Games wear them.”
The article also mentions that Gwen would love to design bridal gowns in the future and that “getting the right partner would be really important in that.” She credits her strong point of view and tastes for what she loves and says, “Just give me opportunities to tell you whether I like it or not.” WWD also addressed the rumors and asked Gwen if she had any plans on designing a second wedding dress for herself and she responded with, “I’m not really thinking about that right now.”
We truly hope Gwen is able to return to fashion week in the near future since it’s always such a joy to see her workmanship pay off in such a positive and fun way. Plus her runway shows are just so fantastic.
