Music Rooms — Gwen shot to fame in the 90s as the lead singer of the American rock band, which also features Tom Dumont on guitar, Tony Kanal on bass and Adrian Young on drums.
The band have not made an album together since 2001’s Rock Steady, with Gwen going on to enjoy a successful solo career, as well as launching herself as a designer with her clothing collection, L.A.M.B.
The singer says she’s now looking forward to focusing on No Doubt’s music again and has revealed their next album, scheduled for release next year, will be very special.
She said that now she’s a mother to four-year-old Kingston and two-year-old Zuma with her musician husband Gavin Rossdale, she has found recording music much more time consuming.
“Having kids too – it’s not like you can stay up all night and do it the way we used to do it, so it’s taking a bit longer. It’s gonna be worth it,†she told Perez Hilton.
The star revealed that after focusing on her L.A.M.B show for last week’s New York Fashion Week, she is now looking forward to getting back to the studio.
“As soon as I’m done with the show I’m gonna get back in the studio. I can’t wait to give it to everyone but it’s not done. It takes so long, it’s so tedious,†she admitted. “I wanna finish by December, but that doesn’t mean anything. Who knows when I’ll be done?â€
