No Doubt have teamed up with logo designer winner Arvee Fider to create a very special limited edition t-shirt with 100% proceeds benefiting Save The Children in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan. The devastating disaster took the lives of over 5,000 people and left over 3 million homeless.
Save The Children, a foundation very close to the band’s hearts, estimates that over 5 million Filipino children have been affected. Arvee had reached out to the band asking for help and support for his native country.
The limited edition t-shirt features Arvee’s speakerbox logo he created for No Doubt, but also displays the message “For the Philippines (Para sa Pilipinas).” Fans can pre-order the t-shirt now for $19.95 with orders expected to be shipped on or before February 21.
We thank No Doubt for giving fans the opportunity to help others in need!
No Doubt — We recently received an email from No Doubt fan and 2012 Talenthouse Design Winner, Arvee Fider, asking for some help. Distraught by the devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan in his home country, Arvee wanted to auction his signed canvas and prizing from the competition to help the cause. A Philippines native, Arvee experienced the destruction firsthand when Haiyan took the lives of over 5,000 people and left over 3 million homeless last month.
Arvee’s email sparked an idea…
We’ve decided to make a special edition t-shirt of Arvee’s “Speaker Box” design with 100% of the profits going directly to Save The Children to help our Filipino friends and their country recover from Typhoon Haiyan. The shirt will also display a message on the back that reads “For the Philippines (Para sa Pilipinas).”
Save the Children estimates that over 5 million Filipino children have been directly affected by this tragedy. Assistance is urgently needed to prevent a deterioration in their health and nutrition and to ensure their safety. In the absence of shelter, food, emergency health care, clean water and sanitation, the lives of many thousands of these children could quickly become at risk.
