Thanks to Anne for sharing with us! Gwen is actually featured in the newest UK edition of Style magazine, August 2011. They have a cute diary-looking article and interview with her the day of the AMFar charity auction in Cannes, France earlier this year. She looked absolutely stunning and we thought she was so humble when she mentioned how nervous she was that the L.A.M.B. dress she wore wasn’t going to go for that much at the auction. We transcribed the article ourselves so if you post on your websites, please provide us credit, thank you.
Date: Thursday 19 May
Destination: AMFar’s Cinema Against AIDS Charity Gala
2pm “My husband Gavin Rossale and I arrived in Cannes abaout ten days ago. Tonight, I’m wearing a dress by my label L.A.M.B. and I’m going to auction it to raise money for AIDS research.
3pm “I ordered a giant millefeuille for our nanny’s birthday and it’s heaven. Luckily, my dress stretches!”
4pm “I haven’t made up my mind about my makeup, but I don’t think I’m going to wear a red lip, so people will be shocked! I dyed my hair with L’Oreal Paris’s Recital Preference [below right] the day before we came to Cannes, so my color looks fresh”.
5pm “I love the process of getting ready. My makeup artist is really fast, so my smokey eye [using Color Appeal Eyeshadow, below right] doesn’t take that long.”
6:30pm “I’m not a huge drinker, but I have a glass of wine. Gavin goes home tomorrow, so tonight will be big. It’s time to head to the AMFar party, but we don’t have far to go, as it’s in our hotel, the du Cap-Eden-Roc.”
8pm “After working lon days, it feels good to be at the party. I start to worry that my dress might not go for much — maybe I should take it off on-stage, or I could buy it back off myself!”
11pm “It’s so fun seeing my peers and the people I’ve met over the years, and the party is for such a great cause. It’s late, but there’s no time to rest in Cannes. Thank goodness I have such a great hair and makeup team around me and, being a L’Oreal Paris spokesmodel, I also have access to endless products. My feet are hurting from being in heels all night, but luckily, I’ve packed some comfortable flip-flops for when I get back to my room.”
