In a short and sweet article from WWD, Tony was asked about DREAMCAR and if he had any thoughts on what he’s planning on wearing on a future tour during a fall collection launch in Los Angeles for designer Raquel Allegra. The article also confirms that the band’s debut album is coming later this year under Columbia Records.
When asked about DREAMCAR, Tony described the sound as, “new wave, new romantic” and while showing off the debut photo of the band that they had shared on Instagram last month, he continued by saying it’s “kind of a mix between Gary Numan and Kraftwerk”. He said that he’s extremely excited to hit the stage next month with DREAMCAR at Coachella.
In case you missed it, DREAMCAR has shared a few intimate videos from inside the recording studio which has given fans a first listen at what they’ve been working on. And we’re here for all of it.

The name had grown on me. Concise, memorable and the graphics for it is perfect.
Thank god they dropped Interscope for this project
Seriously, screw Interscope. After P&S, the guys don’t owe them anything. Wonder what’s left on ND’s contract with them.
Later this year? That bums me out, but hopefully there will be a single soon.
I would assume, and Tom has hinted at, them putting out something before their Coachella performance in April. Especially with the recent teasers, I have a feeling something may be out sooner than we all think. 🙂
I’m really excited about this.
I stand with the band! So happy for this. I hope Davey meshes well with them– I used to hate AFI but he’s changed a lot since 2003.
I have to say that Davey looks like the rich villain guy from House on Haunted Hill…
