Additional Information:

Everything In Time is a compilation album put out by the band first in November of 2003 as part of the Boom Box collection. The album contains B-sides leftover from the Return of Saturn era (though all could be found on import versions of the album, “Ex-Girlfriend”, “Simple Kind of Life” and “Bathwater” singles), remixes (including one of “New” and two “Rock Steady” mixes) and rare songs found on various soundtracks and compilations. The unreleased songs from this album (excluding “New Friend”) were all written for the Return of Saturn album during 1999-2000. “New Friend” was written while the band was in Jamaica in the summer of 2001 and almost made Rock Steady — “Start The Fire” ended up taking it’s place.

A couple of well known covers (though they are labeled as “rarities”) appear on the album: “Sailin’ On”, a 1995 Bad Brains track and The Vandals’ “Oi To the World”, which appeared on the 1998 release A Very Special Christmas 2. No Doubt’s collaboration with Elvis Costello, “I Throw My Toys Around” also made the album as well after first appearing on The Rugrats Movie soundtrack in 1998.

The two “Rock Steady” remixes (“A Real Love Survives” and “A Rock Steady Vibe”) were outtakes as well from the Rock Steady sessions and were created actually for the album itself as intros and intermissions. They ended up scrapping the idea but they were heard on the Rock Steady club tour in the Spring 0f 2002.
