In a new interview with the San Francisco Chronicle, Adrian revealed that fans can expect that “there’ll be up to three songs that people can absorb before” DREAMCAR head out on the road in early April. The band has shared their excitement and anxiousness to play their new material for fans, including their biggest gig yet at Coachella in a couple of weeks. Fans will also be able to check out more from the band earlier than that when they head out on their club tour starting next week in Santa Ana, California.
When asked why the band booked their first shows in smaller venues, Adrian admits that the band didn’t know what to expect and points out that the guys haven’t played in clubs in quite some time together. To everyone’s excitement, DREAMCAR’s first batch of club shows on the west coast sold out in just minutes.
In the article, Adrian also elaborated on why they chose to keep their project a secret saying that they wanted to be respectful of their original bands. “I don’t know what good it would do to say we’re doing this thing and not follow through with it. It ends up being confusing.” He continued by saying that himself, Tony and Tom seem to be at their best when working together and that there’s a “there’s a trough of music”, which we hope to hear from one day!
DREAMCAR is currently in live rehearsals now and we’re excited for the band to head out on the road in the coming weeks. We’ll be sure to share news and updates along the way and we can’t wait to see more from the shows.
